FAQ

When is a good time to move?

The best time to move is when other people aren’t moving. Summer is the busiest season, which can make it hard to schedule your relocation at the last minute. Likewise, the end of the month and over 3-day weekends are also popular times to move.

If you do need to move at a time when it’s likely to be busy, be sure to plan your relocation ahead of time to get the best deal and avoid conflicts that could cause scheduling problems.

When should I call the moving company?
For best results, call us at least 4 to 6 weeks before your relocation. Although we can accommodate last-minute relocations, you may not get your preferred time slot. The more notice you can give us, the better!
What's the difference between an estimate and a binding estimate?
An estimate is just that – an estimate. It’s subject to change, either going lower or higher, depending on the actual amount being moved. A binding estimate is the exact amount you will pay for your relocation, no more or less. We provide both types of estimates to our customers. To find out more about which type of estimate is best for you, get started by calling us.
What should I do if my move date changes?
If your move date changes, call us as soon as possible. We’ll be as flexible as we can, but we’ll need you to be flexible as well! A change to your move date could require us to change your estimate. Some times of year are more expensive than others, while other times of year are less expensive.
When will I be required to pay?
Payment is due at the completion of your move. We will provide a final invoice outlining the services and charges once the job is complete.
Do you offer full-service relocation services?
Yes, we offer full-service relocation services. Our local movers will pack up your items, move them safely to your new home, and unload and unpack as needed.
Will you store my items for me during the relocation?
If you need storage during the relocation, let us know. We can store your items for a period of time before the delivery takes place. There will be an additional charge for storage, and the more notice you can give us that you’ll be needing these services, the better.
What kind of payment will 3E Moving and Storage accept?

3E Moving and Storage will accept the following forms of payment:

  • Cash
  • Major credit cards
  • Traveler’s check
  • Money order/cashier’s check
How is the cost of my move determined?
We’ll send a representative to view your items and provide an estimate. The cost will depend on the distance traveled, the amount being moved, whether you require packing and unpacking services, the time frame, and whether storage will be required for your items.
